Olympic Themed Licence Plates Go On Sale

In the run up to the 2012 Olympic Games, over 1,500 London Olympic 2012 themed licence plates are set to be sold off to car insurance holders at auction.

The likes of GB12 ROW, RUN 100M and GO11 DEN are just a few of the Olympic themed plates to go under the hammer in a three day auction in June.

The Commercial Director for London 2012, Chris Townsend, commented:

"I'm sure that this London 2012-themed range of personalised registration number plates will really strike a note with fans of the Games."

Those lucky buyers will also have the chance to buy an official box set to accompany their licence place. Car insurance holders will be able to buy the licence plates online - direct from the DVLA website as well as at the three day auction at City Hall in London.
