The condition of British car insurance holder's vehicles could be affected by the poorly maintained roads around the UK, suggests a new report.
The survey carried out by TomTom shows that the UK has fallen behind 6 other European countries in terms of the number of road improvements carried out over the last 12 months.
The report showed that there were only 115,994 upgrades and maintenance tasks carried out in the UK, 2% less than Turkey and as much as 11% lower than Croatia.
Of the European countries France came out on top with over 260,000 improvements with Germany, Spain and Italy claiming second, third and fourth places respectively.
The numbers of potholes in England and Wales have doubled to 1.7 million in the five years.
