South East Motorists Complain About Garages

A recent report by Motor Codes has revealed that more car insurance holders from the South-East of England have made more complaints regarding service and repair issues than any other part of the UK.

Motor Codes is a self-regulatory body set-up for the automotive industry as a way of helping motorists to identify responsible garages, offer a structured complaints procedure and promotes good customer service.

The report showed that the South East of England has the highest number of complaints to Motor Codes at 29%, compared to the North-West at 12% and a mere 2% of North-East residents.

The percentages show the number of cases where the company has had to take official action, however it should also be noted that only 7% of calls last year actually called for formal intervention by the group.
